Link On Demand

This app-based on-demand transportation option gives you free access to rides across Lone Tree and Highlands Ranch. This service is designed to improve local mobility by providing flexible transportation options for people who may not have access to a personal vehicle or traditional fixed-route transit.

Link On Demand is operated in partnership with Via, a transportation technology company, and was initially introduced in Lone Tree to address mobility gaps and expand access to essential destinations.

Now Available in Stonegate and Parker

Link On Demand service is now available for trips to and originating in Stonegate and parts of Parker. Check the app for the most up-to-date service area map.

Who can use Link On Demand?

Anyone within the service area can use the app to request a free ride.

Do I need to pay for a ride?

No. All rides are free of charge.

What areas does the service cover?

The service includes Lone Tree, Meridian, Highlands Ranch, Stonegate and parts of Parker. Rides must begin and end within this area. Download the app for the most up-to-date map of our service area, or check if an address is within the service area first.

What hours is the service available?

  • Monday – Thursday: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: No service

Is the service accessible?

Yes. Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles are available. Please make sure to select the “wheelchair accessibility” switch on your profile within the app if needed.

In addition, drivers receive training on assisting passengers with a variety of accessibility needs to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all riders.

How is rider safety addressed?

Link On Demand vehicles are operated by trained drivers who have passed background checks. Vehicles are equipped with safety cameras, and ride activity is tracked to help ensure a secure and reliable experience for all passengers.

Can I book rides in advance?

Yes. However, pre-scheduled rides are not guaranteed. To ensure that your request is met, we recommend you book your ride 20-40 minutes before you’re ready to go.

Can I use the service if I don't have an iPhone or Android smartphone?

The easiest way to use the service is by downloading the app with the links above. However, if you do not have a smartphone, or need additional assistance, you can call our support team at 719-212-2430 and we’ll help you over the phone.

What is the economic impact of Link On Demand?

Independent research regarding on-demand transit services nationwide shows that communities see approximately $4 in economic and social value for every $1 invested. That value comes from increased mobility, reduced transportation barriers, improved access to jobs, healthcare, shopping, and local businesses, and fewer single-occupancy vehicle trips on our roads.

For Douglas County, that means a projected $25 million in community impact from a planned $6 million investment in 2026.

How does the cost to operate Link on Demand compare to traditional bus service?

Link on Demand costs $70 per hour to operate. RTD fixed route bus service costs $241 per hour.
