Snow Removal Priorities and Safety
Douglas County is responsible for snow removal in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County, including plowing roads and neighborhoods in Highlands Ranch.
Please allow up to 24 hours after a snowstorm for crews to complete operations before submitting a request.
Requests submitted after Friday afternoon will be addressed on Monday. Please keep in mind, as Colorado weather often changes quickly, snow conditions may improve before crews are dispatched.
Because every snowstorm is different – temperature, moisture content, wind velocity, and storm duration, etc. – we implement a snow removal plan unique to each storm. The primary focus is always on public safety. Plows will be out until all roads are plowed.
