By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open burning, the use of fireworks, portable fireplaces/fire pits and campfires in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County.

Thousands joined the Agents community in 2025 – and now, 2026 promises new missions, new family-friendly adventures and surprises every step of the way.

Complete challenges to find fun new ways to experience our 65,000 acres of open spaces in Douglas County. Conquer quests, ace the trivia and explore your backyard – there are options for every age and ability to explore from home or in the great outdoors!

These programs are possible through a partnership with Douglas County Open Space and Natural Resources and Douglas Land Conservancy.

New for summer 2026: iSpy Agent Douglas

Families and adventurers can dive into a summer of exploration with the iSpy Agent Douglas scavenger hunt, an exciting twist added to the popular Agents of Discovery program! This season, Agent Douglas isn’t just your guide… he’s hiding around the County, and it’s your job to track him down. Follow Douglas County social media (Facebook, Nextdoor and Instagram) and DLC social media (Facebook, Instagram) for clues to discover where he’s hiding each month. If you find him, a special prize awaits!

July clues:
