By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open burning, the use of fireworks, portable fireplaces/fire pits and campfires in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County.

In 2023, you told us what you needed to age well in Douglas County. Four priorities emerged: housing, in-home services, access to information and transportation. Now, we’re hitting the road again with an update. We want to know what you think about proposed action steps within those priority areas. Roadshows will be held in communities across Douglas County.
