What do you think about renting homes to vacationers in Douglas County?
Recently, the Commissioners have heard community feedback from all audiences – those who would like to rent their homes for short-term use, like VRBO or for traveling nurses, etc., and those who would prefer short-term rentals not be allowed in their neighborhood. Douglas County’s Zoning regulations allow only limited opportunities for this type of activity. The Commissioners want to hear more input before considering any policy changes.

This policy consideration is for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Many municipalities, homeowners’ associations, and metro districts already have policies in place.
