Updated June 18, 2026:
Traffic Shift between Clarkson Street and University Boulevard – June 17
On Wednesday, June 17, crews shifted eastbound and westbound County Line Road traffic to the north between Clarkson Street and University Boulevard to give crews additional room to work on the south. As part of this traffic shift, access to businesses between Clarkson Street and University Boulevard will be available from eastbound County Line Road only. This includes all businesses between U-Haul Storage and Circle K.
Please expect alternating single lane traffic and flaggers on foot. On Thursday, June 18, there will be intermittent mobile closures on County Line Road, between Clarkson Street and U-Haul Storage.
Work continues on noise walls, drainage systems, horizontal concrete work and paving. You may notice traffic shifts and intermittent single lane traffic as crews safely move into new construction phases. Please follow posted speeds and do not drive distracted when driving through the work zone. Watch for flaggers on foot and proceed through the construction area with caution.
We appreciate your patience as we build a safer County Line Road for everyone!
Business Access Update
Crews are continuing construction on County Line Road between Target and University Boulevard. As crews continue construction, access to the Plaza at Highlands Ranch will be closed between Target and University Boulevard starting on Monday, April 20, and lasting for three weeks. Access to the Plaza at Highlands Ranch will be maintained using the business access points at Target or Circle K.
Pedestrian Access at Phillips Avenue
Sidewalk improvement work continues along Phillips Avenue near the Wilmore Nursery. A small portion of the sidewalks on the east side of Phillips Avenue between County Line Road and E. Phillips Court remains closed for the construction of new sidewalks. Pedestrians should plan to detour by using the sidewalks on the west side of Phillips Avenue. Cones and signage are in the area to keep pedestrians safe and out of the work zone.
Safety Message
This is an active construction zone. Please drive posted speeds, watch for crews and equipment, and avoid distractions. If you’re traveling through the area, plan ahead, allow extra time and check your navigation app for real-time traffic updates.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as improvements to County Line Road continue.
Total Project Duration: About 24 months.
